The SQL Workshop Ltd operates the highly-successful and fast-growing Cult Pens ecommerce site, providing a huge range of writing instruments to a global market. 
An opportunity is now available within the Customer Services team.  This is a crucial role in a small team within a company which regards its customer service as second to none.   Our quality products, clear and effective website and high standard of operational service ensure that our customers are rarely disappointed and that there are few complaints – our customer service activities are largely based around providing pre-sales advice, helping customers with ordering and payment issues, providing quotations, resolving minor delivery or product problems and pro-actively managing customer expectations.   Customers range from home and hobby users to professionals, small and large businesses and the public sector.

You will:

• Deal with customer enquiries by email, phone and letter
• Process order amendments, payments, purchase orders, refunds and exchanges via our ecommerce platform
• Be responsible for ensuring that customer service targets are met and providing reports on performance to the directors
• Liaise effectively with technical specialists, the operations team and the directors to ensure that enquiries and issues are dealt with efficiently and promptly
• Be happy to help out in all areas of a small business, including operations, order processing and your turn making the tea!

You will have the following:

• A minimum of 5 GCSE’s, including Maths and English, but preferably educated to A-level or higher
• A very high standard of written English and excellent numeracy
• An articulate and confident telephone manner
• Experience of dealing with the public
• A calm and organised approach to work
• The ability to plan your work but prioritise incoming issues effectively
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience and confidence with computers including Windows, Word, Excel, email and the internet

Suitable candidates will also have the opportunity to be involved in marketing and IT projects. 

Salary negotiable in the range £18-24k depending on experience.
